00:00The first day of the Philippine Women's National Baseball Team Open Tryout was a success

00:06which was held at Rizal Baseball Stadium.

00:20These are just a few of the talents that the Philippine Amateur Baseball Association is looking for

00:26to be part of the Women's Baseball Team and represent the country

00:29at the upcoming Asian Championships in June.

00:32On Tuesday, January 7 at Rizal Baseball Stadium,

00:35Joel Palanog, head coach of the Philippine Open Tryouts, led the team

00:39to choose the winners of the tournament.

00:43He encouraged all the women who tried to attend the event.

00:48This is the first day of the Philippine Women's National Baseball Team Open Tryout.

00:53We are expecting a base tryout every Tuesday and Thursday.

00:57For those guys also, girls who are interested to show up and be part of the Women's National Team,

01:04you are very welcome to come and join us and show me how good you are.

01:09Our mindset is that we will go back to zero.

01:13Everybody has to show up to fight for the final cut for the 20 men going to the Asian Championships.

01:23Aside from the members of the national team,

01:25some Filipinos also participated in the tryouts.

01:27Just like 20-year-old Jennie Mae Tevez, who is the future position.

01:33It's very pressuring because we are all beginners.

01:36Those who participated in the tryout are all veterans.

01:41As myself, I can see that I still need to improve.

01:46I need to broaden my knowledge in baseball.

01:51The national team member, Tana Mong, can't escape the excitement of seeing her teammates play.

01:57We are excited to get some fresh blood in our team.

02:01And as a current player, I'm happy to see more people come in and try out.
