00:00community services, which includes also medical services, because I was working in King Faisal
00:27Hospital, Taif. So I had the privilege to help people during that period. And now, then
00:36I moved to National Guards Hospital, Riyadh. And I'm the Royal Protocol Physician there,
00:46which is a great privilege for me to work for the Saudi Royal Family. And of course,
00:54from the beginning till now, I'm very well connected with the Consulate and the Embassy
01:02of India. And I'm lucky that always I got support from them in order to carry out my
01:11activities to help the needy people, whether they are Indians, mostly. So it was a great
01:19privilege. I feel that when the community members work hand-in-hand with the Embassy,
01:32the great results come out. So that is my belief. And it has happened in that case. So of course,
01:40I alone cannot do anything.
01:42Dr. Khursheed, you have won the Pravasi Bhartiya Award, as well as you have been awarded the
01:49Pravasi President. When you got to know about this, that you have been awarded,
01:56how did you feel? How was the experience?
01:59About a week ago, I was told, and definitely, as anybody else, I was very much thrilled,
02:06because I didn't know that I will be considered for that position. So definitely, very much
02:18thrilled. Me and my family, all of my family, were excited to attend this. And still I'm excited
02:26today to meet Honorable Prime Minister Modi ji, and tomorrow we'll receive the award from
02:33the President. So it is a great honor. I'm humbled for this. So I'm considered one among
02:44the 2.5 million Indians in Saudi Arabia. So you feel...
02:49Dr. Khursheed, is this your first time to Pravasi Bhartiya?
02:54No, I attended last time in Doha as a delegate. So I had the feel of the
03:04PPD and how the awards are being given. Maybe, I don't know, maybe I had visualized
03:11which has come into reality. Maybe I dreamt. I'm not aware.
03:16Last question, of course. This year's theme is the diaspora contribution to the
03:212047. Your view in this regard?
03:24Oh, it has been always there, but now more so, because more number of Indians staying outside
03:32India, and they are in a better situation, better position financially and technically.
03:39So they can contribute a lot. If somebody... I want to pass on this message to all the
03:48Indian expatriates outside India, that they have a big role to play as our Prime Minister
03:56and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is giving a lot of emphasis on these things.
04:05First of all, we are getting recognized by the government of India. That is a very good thing,
04:11a much more than what we were considered to be earlier. So, and we have a bigger role,
04:19of course, always the, you know, that privileges come with responsibilities.
04:23So we have big responsibility and we should take up. All of us should take up.
04:28Thank you. Thank you, Dr. Pichai.
04:31Yes, yeah, I think that's it. Yeah, absolutely.
04:34Sir, tell me about the initiatives you have done now, because this year you are getting the
04:39Provincial Indian Medal Award. So, could you tell us a little bit about that initiative?
