00:00Our focus is still rolling out the cost of living help that we budgeted for in the last
00:06budget but we've made it clear that in each of our budgets if we can afford to do a little
00:11bit more to help people, of course we consider that.
00:16We try and provide this cost of living relief in a substantial way, in a meaningful way
00:19but also in a responsible way.
00:21We're very attuned to the budget pressures at the moment so we'll do what we can but
00:25we'll do what we responsibly can.
00:28People shouldn't expect this election to be a big free-for-all of public money or a
00:32huge cash splash.
00:34We've got to continue to manage the budget responsibly but if we can do a little bit
00:38more to help people with these cost of living pressures, of course we'll consider that.
00:41Really the primary reason why we've been managing the budget so responsibly is so that we can
00:45afford to do the things that the country desperately needs.
00:48That's what building Australia's future really means and what it really looks like, to make
00:52sure that we can fund the things that Australians really need.
00:55Cost of living help, investing in housing, investing in strengthening Medicare and building
01:00the future when it comes to infrastructure.
