00:00There is no age of 100, as shown by a professor of human science in Gorakhpur.
00:05Since the time of the historical work, he started the campaign of collecting coins of the Mughal and British eras along with the ancient and historical era.
00:12But when he retired, he made such a big collection of these coins that anyone can be surprised to see it.
00:19From the coins of about 2500 years ago to the Mughal-era British period, all the coins are increasing the beauty of their album.
00:26In which Babar Saleh's newspaper, Jahangir, Aurangzeb, Alauddin Khilji, Sher Shah, Suri, all the coins of the time are included.
00:32The coins of silver and copper, which came in circulation during the British rule, enhance the nature of their collection gallery.
00:38Not only this, you will be surprised to know that this professor is not only fond of the collection of coins.
00:42He also has such notes on a large scale of the collection, including foreign coins of the Indian army.
00:49I was a student of BAPG College, Gorakhpur, where I was a teacher for two years.
00:58In 2013, I got a leave of absence from there.
01:02Before getting a leave, I had a collection of coins, but it was not enough to name it as a collection.
01:13I had some friends who were goldsmiths, and on the other hand, I was interested in history since childhood.
01:20So gradually, people used to come to my personal collection, and from there, I started collecting coins from the market.
01:29So, I understood a different story of the coins, that the collection of coins in the world came from very ancient places.
01:38The history of the coins is a living proof of the history of the world.
01:49If the history of the coins is given in accordance with the time, then the history itself comes to the fore.
02:00Please tell us about the coins of which era?
02:02I have five-mark coins in the coins of India, which were used from the 4th to 6th century BC, which are also known as Ahad coins.
02:13After that, in the 9th, 10th and 11th centuries, I have the coins of the Didarani of Kashmir, and then in the Madhya Yuga, I have the coins of all the kings of the Mughal era, from Akbar to Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan, Shah Alam.
02:29I also have the coins of the Sehsasuri, who gave birth to the word Rupea, and since then, the Indian currency has been called Rupea.
02:39How many coins do you have and have you spent Rupea in the collection?
02:44Yes, I have a huge collection of about 900 coins at the moment, and according to the rarity of the coins, how rare they are, according to that, the coins are sold in the market during the collection of coins or during the display of coins.
03:02So, the value is kept according to the rarity of the coin, and whoever can give it, buys it. So, I also had to buy coins because we could not get so many coins from anywhere.
03:13This professor of history did not stop only here to fulfill his hobby, he also started organizing a collection of such rare coins that were issued at different times in the country and the world, for which he has been awarded in many exhibitions.
03:27So, while summarizing the history and revolution of Purvanchal's historical heritage, he has created seven books so far, which have been awarded twice by the Uttar Pradesh Hindu Institute.
03:40You will be surprised to know about another hobby of his. He has also included such a collection of matchsticks in his gallery, which have been seen in the market in various colors at different times.
03:51When I started organizing, I had to buy this too, which was also sold in the market. And when I won the Rajasthani Philatelic Competition from the Rajya Sarkar, I got a silver medal for this in my collection in 2022.
04:08What other collections do you have?
04:10I have started a new collection of matchsticks. I am collecting coins and dandikas. So, I have started a collection of different types of matchsticks and now I have a collection of around 200 matchsticks.
04:26You have also written history books and won awards for them.
04:30Yes, I have written history books. When I became a member of Interact Gorakhpur, at that time, our Agraj PK Lahiri sir had published a 32-page booklet, in which he had mentioned some historical places of Gorakhpur.
04:46I told him that people will not keep this in their house, this book should be written in this wardrobe. So, when he said that it is necessary here, I started it. And my first book was published in 1918 under the name Aayne Gorakhpur.
05:00And my second book, Sarju Paar Ke Yu Purush Aayi and my third book, Purvanchal Mein Swadhinata Sanghars Aayi, both these books were awarded in 2122 by the Uttar Pradesh Sindhi Sansthan.
05:13And then I have this writing program going on and now I have four books.
05:18See, the youth of today is a bit delusional, they do not know what to do. But if such awards are given, if they are put up for display, then they will also be honoured.
05:29And at the same time, the value of the money that is invested in it is also increasing with the passage of time.
