00:09disruption. For the rest of Thursday though it will be mainly dry, cold and
00:13sunny with bitterly northerly winds continuing to bring a threat of wintry
00:18showers and these will be most frequent for northern Scotland. Temperatures will
00:22plummet though on Thursday night bringing a widespread and severe frost.
00:27Temperatures will drop as low as minus 5 to minus 10 degrees Celsius and may
00:32even drop as cold as minus 20 degrees for areas with lying snow and altitude
00:37such as across the Scottish Highlands. Friday will then be another mainly dry
00:42and cold day with plenty of sunshine but cloud will linger across the southwest
00:46bringing patchy outbreaks of rain and sleet. Saturday will then be another very
00:51cold day but milder air is on the horizon as we look ahead to Sunday.
