00:00Los Angeles is burning with fire experts saying this is the worst wildfire situation the city
00:05has ever seen. And while high profile celebrities have been posting on social media about the losses
00:10of their homes, ordinary citizens are also losing theirs. That includes this group of friends and
00:16roommates who were all forced to evacuate their Malibu home. However, instead of leaving town,
00:20they left solid ground boarding a boat of another friend in Marina del Rey and sailing along the
00:26coast, all the while capturing the utter devastation along the way. 28-year-old producer
00:31director Kyle Russell was one of those who left the home and is now living on a boat in Santa
00:36Monica Bay. He says that their house hasn't been affected yet, but the Palisades fire is inching
00:40ever closer to their property. Growing from a relatively small bushfire just a couple of days
00:45ago to a veritable inferno covering over 17,000 acres today. With Russell saying about it,
00:52from the boat we can see red skies and you can just feel this awe being on the water and there
00:56are clear fires right above you. Adding that they are in shock and have a real sense of helplessness.
