00:00In the premiered flight of Panglao Bohol,
00:04it was poured into the bathrooms because of the lack of water.
00:09Their water supplier explained it to Ian Cruz.
00:17Crystal clear waters and white sand beaches
00:21are the well-known destinations of Panglao Bohol to the tourists.
00:26But in Panglao Bohol International Airport,
00:29where 2 million passengers are accommodated every year,
00:33the problem is the lack of water.
00:35There's no water there since December 17.
00:39That's why the water and cleaning in their bathrooms
00:43is being poured manually from the water tankers outside.
00:47That problem was discussed in the emergency meeting
00:50of the Bohol Provincial Government,
00:52the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines,
00:54CAAP, and other officials,
00:56and the water supplier at the airport, Richley Water.
01:00According to CAAP, Richley Water has a problem
01:03because there's no supply of water.
01:23For the provincial government to find ways to solve it,
01:27while CAAP is also finding a more permanent solution to the problem.
01:32So what we want is immediately.
01:34According to Richley Water,
01:36they have sufficient supply of surface water
01:39for the Bohol-Panglao International Airport.
01:42They continue to supply water to the surroundings.
01:45In 2012, they bought 43 hectares of land
01:50that has surface water
01:51to provide continuous water supply to critical infrastructure
01:56like the Bohol-Panglao International Airport.
01:59But they were faced with political challenges and delays.
02:05On the other hand, they remain committed
02:08to providing clean water to their consumers.
02:12But they need the support of the national and local government.
02:18For GMA Integrated News, I am Ian Cruz.
02:2124 Hours.
