00:00you
00:30it's shocking but at the same time it's not surprising because we have been
00:43hearing such cases we've been knowing this fact what happens you know to the
00:48players or to the women and to such tender age kids everywhere not only at
00:56the workplace you can talk about schools or at the coaching centers where she was
01:01you know going to take coaching I mean it's everywhere prevalent everywhere so
01:06it gets us to the point where we need to kind of ask ourselves where our daughters
01:12are safe where our kids are safe do we have any one you know kind of location
01:18or any one organization or set up where we feel that okay they'll be safe we can
01:23count none so I think again this is another eye-opener like we keep getting
01:29eye-openers every now and then and this is one of them which has come to the
01:33surface we don't know what is the depth where it is right now and other girls
01:39are suffering other women are suffering the similar atrocities see where see
01:52civil societies are doing their bit you imagine if this particular organization
01:57wouldn't have gone there we wouldn't have known this particular you know kind
02:02of case and we know there are endless numberless cases which are not
02:08reported and which will never come to limelight until and unless we mobilize
02:13civil society we mobilize people and and we really go to the girls and women and
02:19ask them if they are going through something rather than they looking for
02:22help and seeking for help for years
02:30absolutely each and every case of such manner should be treated very strictly
02:37and harshest punishment should be given but unfortunately it doesn't happen
02:41unfortunately we know the fact how much struggle even this girl will have to go
02:45through to get justice it's not easy it's easier said than done so we need to
02:51have mechanism where auto-redressal I mean without struggling for justice we
02:56get justice that will be the real justice
03:07I don't know how many people have been sexually abused by the same person and this case came to light when people reached out and the victim told them her story and asked for a report
03:20see there are so many cases like this which are never reported and the story of this victim is very sad but it's not new
03:30and it's not a surprise because we hear and understand such cases
03:34that's why it's sad that such cases and atrocities come up again and again but nothing happens
03:41this is such a case which has come in front of us and we are discussing about it and we are not liking it
03:46but at the same time you can see how many girls are being victimized by such cases and they are not able to speak about it
03:53here in a civil society mobilization program she came and said that girls come to us when I go to the field
03:59when I do awareness programs then they come to us and tell us what happened to them
04:03they don't have a platform where they can talk about their abuse and someone can take it seriously and someone can take action on it
04:10so this is a very sad thing where we talk about such big things but here a girl is being victimized by so many people and even after that she won't get justice
04:24I will tell you that she won't get justice because if she has to struggle for justice, if she has to beg for justice
04:30it will take years and you know how low is the conviction rate in our society
04:35so it's not that if you get justice then everything will be fine but you don't get justice
04:40what will you say about this incident which happened to 14 people?
04:44it shouldn't happen to anyone whether it's a woman or a girl
04:48when such active women come out and are active and strong
04:55and yet they are being victimized like this, we reveal that
