00:00Bharatpur's home ashram is not just a shelter, but it is a living example of the service and dedication of humanity.
00:14Dr. BM Bharadwaj and his wife Dr. Madhuri Bharadwaj laid the foundation for this 25 years ago.
00:21Since then, this ashram has been serving the needs of the homeless, the disabled and the disabled.
00:29So far, this ashram has served the needs of 48,000 people in India and around the world.
00:35It started from a small house. It was a 100-square-meter house.
00:41We used to go to the Brahmujan and bring them here.
00:45There were not many people living here.
00:47Basically, we are from UP.
00:50The local people here in Rajasthan did not have much faith that we would be able to do this.
00:58They wanted us to have a different purpose behind this.
01:03So, there were some problems.
01:07It was a 20-square-meter house.
01:10There was a hall. 23 Brahmujis used to live there.
01:14My wife Madhuri and I used to live there.
01:18When there were no staff, 23 Brahmujis had to bathe, wash their clothes, cook food, feed them.
01:28Madhuri used to do most of the work.
01:31Ashram founder Dr. BM Bharadwaj says
01:34that in 2000, when the ashram was established, the facilities were very limited.
01:40For the first time in a year, only Rs. 1,500 was donated.
01:44But he did not lose hope.
01:46Today, people from all over the world are supporting this mission.
01:50There are 61 ashrams in 12 states.
01:53The 62nd ashram is in Nepal.
01:55We don't think about where the facilities will come from.
01:58We know that all the facilities that are needed for service are available.
02:07All the facilities come on their own.
02:10We work on this principle.
02:16Look, whatever the needs of our house are,
02:21no one goes to ask for donation.
02:24And no money is received from the government.
02:27Our ashram is in Bharatpur.
02:29One ashram costs Rs. 10.5 lakh daily.
02:34And every day, whatever is required, is written to Thakurji.
02:38Dal, rice, flour, medicine, clothes, land, doctor, engineer, architect.
02:48Even the last rites are written to Thakurji every day.
02:54And whatever is written on the board, is received.
02:57Here, no donation is refused.
03:00This has never been filled.
03:02It will never be filled.
03:03The place is always empty.
03:05It's not that we don't have a doctor,
03:07that we don't have food,
03:09that we don't have a house.
03:11Even if there is less,
03:13there is a place in our heart.
03:16We try to make this place permanent.
03:20God has never given us a chance to refuse anyone.
03:25And we pray that in the future,
03:28no one should get a place here.
03:31No one should have to close their doors.
03:33Let there be no such day.
03:34We work on this ideology.
03:36Apart from this, Bharatwaj Dampate has also made animal welfare
03:40an integral part of his life.
03:43He has adopted the cowshed of Nagarnigam
03:45and has taken on the responsibility of
03:47taking care of the cows and serving them.
03:50Dr. Dampate's life is a living example of
03:54how the world can change with dedication and service.
03:58For Bharatpur Se ETV Bharat,
