00:00At CES, Chinese EV maker Zeker shows off a car that can go from 0 to 60 in about 2 seconds.
00:08Some of its EVs will also now be equipped with their Golden Battery 2, the world's fastest
00:12charging battery in mass production.
00:15It can run up to 300 kilometers, less than 5 minutes charging.
00:21So in that way, you basically can use electrical vehicle as convenient as refueling your gasoline
00:27vehicle.
00:28Just press this button.
00:30Speeding things up, this is what happens.
00:37Other companies are taking transformation features to another level, sped up process
00:41of the unpacking of a land module.
00:44It's actually an electric vertical takeoff landing aircraft, or EVTOL, which can lift
00:49off from wherever the van transports it to.
00:52Due to our precise docking system, it can attach and detach very quickly in three minutes
01:01and it will release the EVTOL.
01:03And then you just unfold the arm and jump into the cockpit.
01:07It's super easy.
01:09The repacking doesn't require any skill either, as it's completely automated.
01:13Like a video game, yeah, but it's all for real.
01:16Tim Lum is the proud owner of an EVTOL made by the company Pivotal, which is showing off
01:21its latest model called Helix.
01:23And I just tell the computer very simply where I want to go with simple joystick commands.
01:30And it doesn't let me go too fast or over torque or over bank.
01:34It has radar altimeters to do the automatic takeoff and landings.
01:38It's pretty incredible.
01:39Since EV car owners deal with the fear of running out of battery power, we asked Pivotal's
01:44product marketing director if anxiety is even greater for EVTOL flyers.
01:49We've got a lot of alerts, audible and visual alerts, and backup LEDs that will blink at
01:56you to make sure you're very aware of the state of charge.
01:59And then our training program, we teach awareness of those things and flight planning.
02:05And there is a ballistic parachute on board to add to the safety if somehow you've pushed
02:10it way too far.
02:12And I'm able to literally pull this out of my two-car carport into my driveway, then
02:18taking a 20-minute flight.
02:20That can be a sunrise or a sunset, or it can be a run to the grocery store to get some
02:25milk and eggs.
02:27Or it can be to go to my neighbors who lives one bridge over, and I just save 30 minutes
02:32of driving.
02:34And it's just so gorgeous to fly, especially in the morning.
