00:30This after Call oversaw the passage of the P6.352 trillion 2025 budget, which faced criticisms
00:36for cuts in key services and allegations of pork barrel allocations.
00:41The Bicameral Conference Committee's version of the 2025 budget faced a backlash over a
00:46P10 billion cut to the Department of Education's computerization program and zero funding for
00:50PhilHealth.
00:52Watchdogs also raised concerns over Public Works getting the biggest share of the pie
00:55over education, violating the 1987 Constitution.
00:59The same committee restored a P26 billion budget for the Ayuda sa Kapos Angkita program
01:04that the Senate wanted defunded.
01:07Ayuda is a cash initiative backed by Speaker Romualdez.
01:10In the end, Marcos vetoed P194 billion in line items, including Department of Public
01:15Works and Highways projects and unprogrammed appropriations.
