01:02It has been built with a cost of about 27 crores and this tunnel is 12 km long.
01:08The work of making the Jet Moor Tunnel was initially given to Srinagar Sonmarg Tunnel Way Limited, which was the company of Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services, i.e. IL&FS.
01:20It was given to the construction contractor IL&FS Group's company, ITNL for the project and this company later gave the work of making the tunnel to a joint venture company, APCO Titan.
01:32Before this project could be completed, IL&FS Group was in a financial crisis in July 2008.
01:39After this, NHIDSL terminated the concession agreement with Srinagar Sonmarg Tunnel Way Limited.
01:47Then NHIDSL again called for a bid to complete the remaining work of the tunnel.
01:53In this, APCO Infratech came forward as the lowest bidder and then it was issued the letter of award, i.e. LOA.
02:01After receiving the letter of award, APCO Infratech created a special purpose vehicle APCO Shri Amarnathji Tunnel Way Private Limited to complete this project.
02:11In January 2019, ASATPL signed a concession agreement with NHIDSL and this company completed this project.
02:20NHIDSL claims that the journey of the tunnel will be completed in just 15 minutes.
