00:00The future of home tech is getting smarter, and at this year's CES in Las Vegas, companies
00:13are showcasing just how artificial intelligence is transforming everyday tasks, from taking
00:20out the trash to mowing your lawn.
00:23Leading the charge is industrial tech manufacturer Oshkosh, with their autonomous refuse robot
00:30named Harry.
00:31You pull out your phone like you would be ordering an Uber, you say that you have refuse
00:36that you want to get rid of, you call Harry, he comes to your neighborhood, shows up at
00:40your doorstep, you grab the trash that you want to take, you put the trash in, and then
00:45Harry autonomously will leave your area.
00:48The company sees Harry as a solution for planned communities and business parks with
00:53central refuse centers.
00:55But trash collection isn't the only household chore getting an AI upgrade.
01:00Dreamy is revolutionizing robotic vacuum technology with their latest innovation, a vacuum that
01:06can literally climb your stairs.
01:09It can climb small steps up to 4.2 centimeters, so it has dual joint legs and it pops up so
01:14you can clean places that you could never clean before.
01:17Dreamy is also developing a robotic arm that can move obstacles out of the way, a feature
01:22that could be particularly helpful for users with limited mobility.
01:27For pet owners, smart technology is addressing security concerns with traditional pet doors.
01:33Pawport CEO Martin Diamond showcases their intelligent pet door system.
01:39Your pet is going to wear a smart tag.
01:43The smart tag is like their key to the house.
01:45Using our app, set schedules for your pets, so you can set a curfew if you don't want
01:50your dog going out after 10 p.m.
01:53You know how long he's been out, it sends you reports.
01:55For cat lovers, PetKit has unveiled an AI-powered litter box that can monitor the health of
02:01your friendly feline.
02:02We actually added a 360-degree rotating camera.
02:06The cat facial recognition is used to primarily set up profiles, and then we're able to have
02:10multiple cats use one litter box.
02:12We can also detect any kind of blood in the urine or feces early on, and the main point
02:16of that is to prevent any kind of further health complications.
02:20So you could actually hook this up with your veterinarian as well.
02:23Outside the home, Segway is bringing artificial intelligence to lawn care with their new X3
02:29series robotic lawnmower.
02:31Our LiDAR camera on it, with built-in AI, allows it to detect images, pets, natural
02:36areas, flower beds, trees and shrubs.
02:40This built-in imagery allows it to detect those things and be able to navigate around
02:44those objects and prevent damage.
02:47And for cooking enthusiasts, Brisket is introducing AI-powered grilling with their new Xelos 450
02:53grill, featuring an AI assistant named Vera.
02:57Anything under the sun that you want to cook, you can tell Vera that you want to cook that,
03:02and it will produce a cooking program for you to review and approve of, and then load
03:08onto the grill for cooking.
03:10You open our grill control, this is going to be the information hub of all of the grilling
03:16data that you need.
03:17So you can set timers, you can see probe temperatures, so you can do this from the couch, you can
03:22do this from the golf course, anywhere that you are in your day.
03:25The Brisket Xelos 450 grill will retail for $399, while PetKit's UltraSmart litter box
03:32comes in at about $1,000.
03:35Today's autonomous lawnmower begins shipping to stores in March, ready for the spring mowing
03:39season.
03:40While some of these technologies may seem like luxury items today, they represent a
03:45growing trend toward AI-powered automation in our daily life.
03:49Would you consider these home upgrades?
