00:00Passion too comes from surroundings.
00:02But passion becomes dangerous because it presents itself as if it is something internal.
00:08Not only does it present itself as something internal,
00:11it decorates itself as something of the heart.
00:15The fellow will say, you know, my heart beats for cricket.
00:17You must ask him, why doesn't your heart beat for ice hockey?
00:20Just because you have had no conditions favorable to ice hockey.
00:27You have not been conditioned towards ice hockey.
00:31You are conditioned towards cricket.
00:33Because there was cricket on the TV, there was cricket in the journals,
00:37on the radio, in the park in front of your house.
00:40Your elder brother put a cricket bat in your hand when you were just 3 years old.
00:44You were seeing all these things.
00:46And all these things were having an influence on you.
00:49The result is, you didn't even get to know when you absorbed and generalized all these things
00:54and you have started saying, well, my heart beats for cricket.
00:57Were you born in Brazil, would your heart still beat for cricket?
01:01Or Russia, let's say?
01:02So passion is as much an external thing as, let's say, peer pressure.
