01:17When I was a student, I was doing reasonably well. I did very well in Class 10. No MTAP for me.
01:27I did very well in Class 12 also. Still no MTAP.
01:33In 2006, I got into the IAS. Still the MTAP eluded me.
01:40It is only when I became D.C. of a district that I got my first MTAP.
01:46So we are living in very special times and very unique and blessed times.
01:52When you are a student and you are in Class 11 and you have a wonderful and beautiful government scheme by which the Chief Minister of State wishes to offer you MTAP for your personal growth, education, studies.
02:10The Chief Minister's Student Digital Learning Aid Scheme is a testament to Meghalaya's commitment to educational innovation and empowerment to technology.
02:22The scheme, I'll just read out a brief part only because Hon. C.M. Sir will be speaking at length about it.
02:31It provides Class 11 students MTAPs preloaded with educational content.
02:37Devices are equipped with interactive e-learning modules, quizzes and multimedia lessons aligned with both State and Central Telugu.
02:48The MTAPs as you will see are lightweight, portable and they have wonderful features.
02:56Instant on capability, enabling seamless integration into various learning environments so that students can study anytime, anywhere without any delays.
03:08In the past few years, 1 lakh tablets have been distributed from the year 2013 and 2019 for Class 12 students.
03:16However, since 2021-22, distribution was shifted to Class 11 students so that they can be with them for the entire 10 plus 2 curriculum.
03:26In the 21-23 two years period, 71,823 MTAPs were distributed to Class 11 students.
03:35Distribution for 23-24 as per the list which we have got from Directorate of School Education and Literacy is 30,418.
03:46West Garo Hills being the first district which will tag off distribution and all other districts will follow.
03:52For West Garo Hills, we are going to distribute 3066 number of MTAPs.

04:02It has comprehensive coverage of Class 11 and 12 syllabus, Arts, Commerce, Science stream also under MBOS.
04:12And very interactive, high quality animations, videos and 3D graphics.
04:18And also study materials and sample papers for JEE and NEET i.e. Engineering and Medical.
04:27Last but not the least, as a special innovation, this year Honorable Chief Minister Sir has also given the go-ahead for distribution of 5750 MTAPs
04:40to higher secondary school teachers so that they are also able to see how useful the MTAPs can be and to facilitate e-learning and assessment.
