In der französischen Komödie Hundschuldig ist das "Wer hat Schuld?" eine der zentralen Fragen, mit denen die junge Anwälting Avril (Laetitia Dosch) es immer wieder zu tun bekommt. Denn sie hat sich auf Tierrecht spezialisiert. Ihr aktueller Klient ist ein Hund, der wiederholt aggressiv geworden ist und Leute verletzt hat. Avril will ihn um jeden Preis retten und erfährt im Verlauf des Prozesses noch so einiges über ihn und sich selbst.
