The King has visited Dumfries House in Ayrshire, Scotland to mark the anniversary of The King's Foundation. King Charles met community representatives, students and ambassadors, including music icon Sir Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster, to celebrate 35 years since the charity's launch. Marking the occasion, the King placed an item which those close to the charity felt represented its legacy into a time capsule. Throughout the year more items will be added to the capsule before it is buried on the Dumfries House estate before it is opened one hundred years from now.

00:00I'm going to catch a sunshine here.
00:09I'm glad you're wearing your badge.
00:11I thought I'd better.
00:13Thank you so much.
00:22Thank you so much.
00:24This is a very special occasion, so we're most happy and really it's a pleasure to be here to witness this.
00:39I know, I know.
00:42It's nice to meet you, sir.
00:44It certainly does look up, doesn't it?
00:49They are a pair, aren't they?
00:51They are.
00:53What's that? Oh, more whisky.
00:56Yeah.
00:57Well, that could be really interesting.
00:59I know.
01:00They're all vintage.
01:01They look brilliant.
01:04So some of the Scotia did.
01:06Yeah, well also, we've got a year to do it, so we can have everything.
01:10I gather you wanted to put an old pair on with the boys, didn't you?
01:12Well, yes, exactly.
01:14Exactly.
01:17Well, how's it going?
01:19Lovely.
01:20Last week?
01:21Last week.
01:22Three days.
01:23Yes.
01:24At Highgrove.
01:25At Highgrove.
01:26Are you on that course?
01:27I took the same course in summer.
01:29And did it help? Was it valuable to you?
01:33Oh, unbelievably.
01:34Absolutely.
01:35And I think, had it not been for the course, I think I would have given up.
01:39Really?
01:40That's exactly what the foundation is about.
01:43So now what?
01:45That's no good.
01:46Well, it's technically my first ever commission, so.
01:49It's going to be a metal liner as well, so of course we're going to have to try and avoid it.
01:54Would it have helped?
01:55I think we've left it clean on purpose because it's going to be students in the coming weeks,
02:00the alumni will be getting more spring punishments, they're doing some arming.
02:05Well, I hope you're here in 100 years' time.
02:09You never know.
02:11We'll see how long it survives.
02:14I'm still here in 2007.
02:17It's still, you know everything now.
02:21I can still get a call.
02:24You never know what questions are going to come from your audience.
02:30Oh, yeah.
02:32It's got a big way out.
02:34It's such a difference to Newcombe now.
02:36A big difference to Newcombe.
02:37So do you juggle it as well?
02:39Do you call it?
02:42Scotland has a wonderful tradition of opening a sea pool.
02:46Yes.
02:48I can't remember all of it.
02:49I do think.
02:50I'm trying to think.
02:51I haven't seen Gayle in my head since the very beginning.
02:56I don't know.
02:57It's exciting.
02:58In that thing.
02:59Are we going to have that?
03:00Just in those.
03:01Right.
03:02Okay.
03:07Oh.
03:08Nail clippers.
03:09It's there.
03:10It'll be buried at the bottom.
03:15I'll head around the corner.
