00:00The Department of the Interior and Local Government or DILG started the so-called guerrilla-style operations of POGO in the country.

00:20that they will work hard to control and operate POGO in their area.

00:25According to DILG Secretary Junvic Rimulya, they are already starting to control particular areas.

00:31The subdivisions that have a report of guerrilla operations of POGO in the country.

00:36In fact, just last week, hundreds of POGO workers were arrested in Barangay Tambo, Paranaque City

00:44that not only illegally operates, but also scams.

00:48This was discussed by the authorities after the Intelligence Unit of the BI got the information

00:53that there are scamming operations in the area where the victims are from other countries.

00:59We started last Wednesday, exactly a week ago, we arrested 400.

01:12What we are arresting now are the guerrilla operations inside the subdivisions.

01:17In Cavite, we investigated two subdivisions that have reports that foreigners and many people entered one house.

01:28Next, Rimulya also ordered all local chief executives to monitor and control their area well

01:36so that illegal POGO operations will not spread.

01:40Of course, as long as they can escape, they will try.

01:51But if they see that their enterprise is unprofitable in the Philippines, they will leave.

02:21First, the BI is worried that even if the companies are held accountable,

02:26they will not prove that they are helping the foreigners who remain in the country.

02:31As of now, they are looking for 11,000 illegal aliens, former POGO workers in the country.

02:38Before the end of 2024, the DILG announced that there will be no more POGO operations in the country.
