00:00The government has no support for rice farmers.
00:04In a statement by Radio Pilipinas,
00:06National Food Authority Administrator Larry Lackson said
00:09that they are buying rice at an exorbitant price
00:12so that the farmers can earn a lot.
00:15In fact, this year,
00:17the NFA started buying rice at P23 per kilo.
00:22That's higher than the P16 to P17 price of rice traders.
00:27Meanwhile, the NFA assured that
00:29the rice supply is increasing this year.
00:32Aside from the upcoming harvest,
00:34the private sector has also been able to import rice.
00:37The NFA also assured that
00:39rice will continue to be sold to the President's henchmen
00:42so that the Filipinos can help each other.
