South African police on Wednesday concluded a rescue operation at an abandoned gold mine and reported that they believe they have rescued all the survivors and recovered all the bodies of the dead after hundreds of miners were trapped for months in one of the country's deepest mines while working illegally. teleSUR

00:10The commissioner in charge stated that the extractions from the mine are complete, however

00:22The 246 people that were found alive, 128 were Mozambicans, 80 were from Lesotho, 33
00:32were from Zimbabwe and 5 were South Africans.
00:35In November, the authorities launched an operation to expel the men who were mining illegally
00:41at the closed Baffle stuffing gold mine, cutting off their food and water supply from the surface
00:47for a period of time.
