00:00As two of Europe's biggest military powers, with our troops serving together,
00:05guarding the eastern flank, we share an unbreakable commitment to NATO
00:12and an unbreakable commitment to Ukraine.
00:15So, Donald, I want to thank you for everything that you have done to support Ukraine.
00:21That's been a huge and important part of the defence of Ukraine
00:26and it is important that we recognise that and we say thank you to that
00:30and, of course, to the President as well.
00:32We're clear together that the route to a just and lasting peace comes through strength.
00:40The strength to secure that peace on Ukraine's terms and the strength to maintain it.
00:48I'm determined to deepen our security collaboration, both with the EU and, of course, bilaterally.
00:55And I'm very pleased that we have agreed today to launch negotiations
01:00on a new UK-Poland security and defence treaty,
01:04covering all aspects of the threats that we face and the steps that we must take to meet them.
01:11This includes deepening ties between our defence industries.
01:16The UK has secured £8 billion of defence deals in Poland over the last three years alone
01:22and we're going further today.
01:25Opening a new joint programme office in Bristol to deliver our £4 billion partnership
01:31to deliver the next generation of air defence system to Poland.
01:36Through our new treaty, we will keep deepening these ties,
01:41exploring what more we can do for our shared security
01:45and ensuring that this is a strong strategic partnership to rival any other.
