00:00We're both very passionate about being in the snow when we ski.
00:11We make eye contact and we just like know what each other is thinking.
00:16We get in this like flow state together.
00:19That is unlike anything I've ever experienced.
00:23Woo! Yeah, buddy!
00:28Why did you both start skiing in the first place?
00:31Loam came into my life after college.
00:35I was living in a city right outside of Boulder, Colorado.
00:39He was such a sweet puppy.
00:42But we hit eight months and I felt like I turned on the lights one morning
00:47and it was a completely different dog.
00:53He just became like the worst little menace you've ever met.
00:58I was doing everything in my power to wrangle him in, right?
01:03Of like taking him to the dog park for an hour before work every morning,
01:07taking him for a walk at my lunch break, and just like nothing was working.
01:12And I got to a point where I was like, okay, we need to move to the mountains.
01:22Come on! Let's go skiing!
01:34I think he loves the companionship that comes with it.
01:37There's not that many activities where your dog gets to exert themselves
01:41and like have that free feeling.
01:44My life isn't just about taking care of me.
01:46It's about taking care of him and making sure that he has what he needs.
01:50I'm going to give him the best life I can possibly give him every single day of his life.
