00:04My father was a cancer patient for a year.
00:07He was being treated from IGMC Shimla under Hymcare Card.
00:11We were called to IGMC on 11th November for my father's chemotherapy.
00:16When we went to IGMC for chemotherapy with my father,
00:20we were told that you will not get the injection, it is not available.
00:26Hymcare Card did not pay for the injection, so we cannot give it to you.
00:31They made us wait for two days.
00:36After two days, the whole month passed and on 3rd December my father expired.
00:43Three days before, they told us that if you have this much emergency,
00:51then you can take the injection with your money.
00:54The injection was around Rs. 50,000 or it could have been more.
00:58Our financial situation was not so good that we could afford such an expensive injection.
01:03By the time we collected the money for my father's injection,
01:08my father had expired.
01:11This is a big shock for our family.
01:15In my family, there was no one to earn other than my father.
01:19My father was the only one who used to earn at home.
01:22I am 21 years old and my brother is also young.
01:26He is studying and I am also studying.
01:29My mother is sick and has diabetes.

01:34There are many other expenses for her treatment.
01:38Apart from my father, there is no other source of income in our house.
01:42We are facing so many problems.
01:46We are very worried about these things.
01:49I just want everyone to be held accountable for their mistakes.
01:54When I called the CM Helpline and lodged a complaint
01:58that the injection was not available for my father,
02:01it was not done through the Hemcare Card.
02:04Because we had taken the full premium of the Hemcare Card.
02:08And when we activated it, they gave us the full package.
02:12So why didn't we get the injection?
02:14At that time, no information was given that the Hemcare Card
02:18or the government had not issued a payment in the Hemcare Card.
02:22So when I lodged this complaint,
02:25I was told by the CM Helpline that we will call in a while.
02:29And when they called in a while, they said that it does not come under us.
02:34If you want to file a case against the doctors,
02:38then only we can do something.
02:41When the doctors were not at fault,
02:43they treated my father very well.
02:46My father was being treated well by the doctors.
02:49But the injection that was not available through the Hemcare Card,
02:53my father had more problems due to not getting the injection.
02:57And because of that, he expired.
03:00So they were not accepting the complaint on the CM Helpline number.
03:05After repeatedly complaining to me,
03:09they stopped calling me back.
03:12And they were just saying that it does not come under us.
03:16We cannot take any action on it.
03:18If you want to file a case against the doctor,
03:21then only we can take some action.
03:23So I just want that whoever is at fault,
03:26action should be taken against them.
