Petersfield Poppy Project launch

Petersfield town crier Faye Thompson launches the Petersfield Poppy Project at the Saturday market.

00:19We are asking everyone in Petersfield to take part in a most wonderful community project.

00:27We are commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

00:34So we are calling all crafters and knitters to knit or crochet 6,000 poppies to make a

00:43waterfall of poppies to cover St Petersfield church porch.

00:49So the whole of Petersfield, we need you.

00:53We need you all and your friends.

00:56So you can donate a ball of wool for someone else to knit.

01:01We will remember everyone that sacrificed their lives so that we can live today.
