00:08That's the center of news of Bien Manalo.

00:13In 2016, the business of Kaysel started in Nueva Ecija.

00:18She used to be an overseas Filipino worker in Qatar

00:21as a secretary in a government position.

00:25Some of the products she sold were chocolate,

00:28mushroom chips, and banana chips that are all locally made.

00:33Her business has a lot of mystery.

00:35Just last year, she joined the Buy Local, Buy OFWs project

00:40that is part of the Revitalization Reintegration Program

00:44of the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Migrant Workers.

00:47We thought of starting a business

00:50so that when we for good, what do we need to do

00:54while we are here in the Philippines?

00:56While having a business, at the same time,

00:58it can help not just for the community

01:00but also for our OFWs and local farmers.

01:05Because of this program,

01:07she was able to loan P4 million

01:09that she used for expansion, marketing,

01:12and other expenses for her factory investment farm in Dabao.

01:17This is also a testament to the success of her business.

01:20Now, she already has 50 employees.

01:24She is also able to export products to other countries.

01:27Sales have increased and the products are more well-known.

01:31We are able to get orders not just here

01:34but also around the Philippines.

01:37Kaysel is just one of the beneficiaries of the Buy Local, Buy OFWs project

01:42that participated in the MOA signing of the DMW and DTI.

01:46It will provide support for the livelihood

01:49and products of the OFWs.

01:51It also aims to support local products, businesses, and services.

01:57We have to make sure that their money is put into good use.

02:01So when they come home, they will have something to give back

02:04and their families will have something to rely on.

02:07This is also part of the agreement

02:09that will provide training and seminars to the beneficiaries,

02:14strengthening micro, small, and medium enterprises or MSMEs,

02:19promoting different investment options such as franchising,

02:24which will greatly help the business they want to invest in,

02:28and providing financial assistance

02:30through government financial institutions and private sector partners.

02:36Through this product, our OFWs will have greater opportunities

02:40to empower themselves economically and socially

02:43upon their return to the Philippines.
