00:00The brand is Hartje 9 so it's been in the family for over 100 years. It belonged originally to my
00:05great-grandmother and it was put into place in our original block in the Brisbane Valley
00:11that we sold back in 2000. My father really never really liked it so he came to me and we branded
00:19over 500 or 600 head or probably more now throughout the time of having it.
00:27Yeah so we it's for us we just like the idea of cattle being able to be identified
00:34and it's something that's very important when you're trying to sell cattle that you have
00:38something that they can people that can read. So if branding is no longer mandatory would you
00:45continue to brand? 100% 100% because we don't want cattle getting stolen. And because they
00:52are on a lot of different places around the area it's it's a good identifier. And if they go
00:59wandering people can always look at the brand's database figure out who they belong to and get
01:03back in contact with us.
