00:00And now there was another thing that happened, although this was kind of a misstep,
00:03but good on Carrie Underwood to pull it out of the fire, which she did.
00:09She had a big moment where she was supposed to sing.
00:11Yeah, America the Beautiful.
00:12America the Beautiful, and it didn't go the way it was supposed to, and she had to quickly pivot.
00:23You know, the words help me out here.
00:25Oh, beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain,
00:40for purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain.
00:53God, she has the most amazing voice.
00:55She does. What an amazing job by her, Harvey.
00:57And the band, there was a problem with the music.
01:00Yeah, the backing track didn't play, so you saw her mouth like acapella,
01:04and they said, yeah, and she just starts singing.
01:07And she was expecting a big track.
01:10Right, it's a lot easier, I would think, to sing with that, right?
01:13Especially that song.
01:14Right.
01:14I mean, that was incredible.
01:16Well, you know what's incredible?
01:17She's a former American Idol contestant.
01:18She's had to perform under pressure a lot.
01:20No, an American Idol winner, a winner.
01:21An American Idol winner.
01:23So she has done this time and time again.
01:25Even Taylor Hicks, who was also an American Idol winner,
01:27shouted her out and said, look, if you wanted someone to botch this live,
01:30you picked the wrong American Idol winner, sort of gave her her props.
01:33I thought she created a real moment for herself
01:35that could have just been a forgettable backing track kind of song.
01:39She actually made it her own.
01:40I totally, oh God, made it her own.
01:42Now you're, what are you, Paula Abdul?
01:46That's a yes from me, dog.
01:47That's a yes from me, dog.
01:48Oh my God.
