प्रयागराज ( यूपी ) - संगम नगरी प्रयागराज के दारागंज के उत्तरी कोने पर प्राचीन नागवासुकी मंदिर स्थित है। इस मंदिर में नागराज वासुकी विराजमान हैं। मान्यता है कि प्रयागराज आने वाले हर श्रद्धालु और तीर्थयात्री की यात्रा तब तक अधूरी मानी जाती है, जब तक की वह नागराज वासुकी का दर्शन न कर लें। यहां कालसर्प दोष से मुक्ति पाने के लिए पूजा अर्चना भी की जाती है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि जब मुगल बादशाह औरंगजेब भारत में मंदिरों को तोड़ रहा था तो वह अति चर्चित नागवासुकी मंदिर को खुद तोड़ने पहुंचा था। उसने मूर्ति पर जैसे ही भाला चलाया तो अचानक दूध की धार निकली और चेहरे के ऊपर पड़ने से वो बेहोश हो गया। धार्मिक और पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, समुद्र मंथन में देवताओं और असुरों ने नागवासुकी को सुमेरु पर्वत में लपेटकर उनका प्रयोग रस्सी के तौर पर किया था। समुद्र मंथन के बाद नागराज वासुकी पूरी तरह लहूलुहान हो गए थे और भगवान विष्णु के कहने पर उन्होंने प्रयागराज में इसी जगह आराम किया था। इसी वजह से इसे नागवासुकी मंदिर कहा जाता है।
