Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, accompanied by his wife Priti Adani and son Karan Adani, visited the sacred Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday. As we all know, the world’s largest religious gathering, the Maha Kumbh is a vibrant confluence of devotion, culture and spirituality.
At the heart of their visit was the Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers meet. The Adani family offered prayers and performed aarti, seeking blessings from Maa Ganga.
Speaking to reporters, Gautam Adani described his experience as “wonderful,” praising the exceptional management of the event and calling it a subject worthy of research for management institutes.
Adani also visited the ISKCON temple camp, where the Adani Group has partnered with ISKCON to serve sacred meals, or Mahaprasad, to devotees throughout the Mela. The initiative, running from January 13 to February 26, aims to serve over one lakh devotees daily. Gautam Adani himself joined volunteers in the kitchen, exemplifying his commitment to the spirit of seva, the selfless service.
In another monumental contribution, the Adani Group, in collaboration with Gita Press, is distributing one crore free copies of Aarti Sangrah to devotees. Describing Maha Kumbh as “the great yagya of Indian culture and faith,” Adani emphasised the importance of supporting Sanatan values and traditions.
From the sacred waters of Triveni Sangam to the acts of service at Maha Kumbh, Gautam Adani’s visit was a profound reminder of the enduring strength of faith, humility and the spirit of giving.
