A five-year-old boy has died in hospital, days after he was injured when a parking meter fell on him at a museum in WA's southwest. It's left the Bunbury community reeling as authorities work to understand what happened.

00:51and I am sure that appropriate steps will then be taken.
00:57A report will be prepared for the coroner with a number of questions remaining.

01:14The City of Bunbury says staff are devastated, particularly those who were here at the museum
01:19when the boy sustained what were ultimately fatal injuries.
01:23The centre will remain closed for at least another week as the community grieves.
