00:00In the 500-million-peso fund of DILG, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. is returning to improve the response to crimes and emergencies in the country.

00:18President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. is returning the funds allocated to the main programs of the Philippine National Police.

00:26After voicing the budget of the Philippine National Police, President R. Marcos, Jr. saw an increase in the agency's funds, including the programs for the Philippine National Police's information and technology,

00:38the establishment of the Safe Camp Security System, a drug-related data integration and generation system, in the National Expenditure Program.

00:47However, almost a billion pesos were allocated to the General Appropriations Act.

00:53Those funds were allocated to the purchase of an amphibious vehicle for the Vehicle Region and Intelligence Fund of the PNP.

01:02They allocated almost a billion pesos to the all-terrain amphibious rescue vehicles for Region 5, and they allocated an additional 500 million pesos to the Intelligence Fund.

01:18So, as instructed by the President to our Budget Secretary, the IT budget will be reverted and the additional 500 million pesos will be removed from the Intelligence Fund.

01:37We will invest in the launching and bidding out process of the Integrated 9-1-1 system for the entire Philippines.

01:47The 9-1-1 capacity will be strengthened through the addition of call centers and dispatchers.

01:54Additional body cameras and location devices will also be purchased for the police responders.

02:01The allocation of funds to the Integrated 9-1-1 system in the country is important.

02:06It is used to respond to emergencies and crimes.

02:10Last year, the PNP was able to respond to 99 percent of the 1,000,000 emergency calls.

02:17The emergency response will also monitor the fire.

02:21Every firetruck that is deployed should have an ambulance.

02:25We have 5,000 nurses in BFP.

02:28So, we will utilize their capacity.

02:31If a firetruck arrives, an ambulance will also arrive that is not a standard practice.

02:37I'd like to thank the President for his support.

02:39In the budget of the DILG, he saw the rationalization that is needed according to the NEP.
