संभल, उत्तर प्रदेश: संभल में शाही जामा मस्जिद के पास एक प्राचीन कुआं मिला है, जिसकी खुदाई में मजदूर जुटे हुए हैं। एएसपी श्रीश चंद्र, थाना प्रभारी अनुज कुमार तोमर, आरआरएफ और पीएसी के साथ भारी पुलिस बल मौके पर मौजूद है। एएसपी श्रीश चंद्र ने कहा, "आसपास के लोगों ने बताया है कि इस कुएं को अवैध रूप से पाटा गया था। इस मामले में अभी खुदाई की जा रही है, साथ ही जांच भी चल रही है। इसकी पहचान प्राचीन कुएं के रूप में की जा रही है।"वहीं प्राचीन कुएं की खोज के बाद स्थानीय निवासी संजय पोली गुप्ता ने कहा कि यह कुआं उन 19 कुओं में से एक है जो प्राचीन कुओं में से एक है और यह हरिहर मंदिर के पास स्थित है। यह कुआं हमारे लिए बहुत पूजनीय स्थल रहा है। पहले महिलाएं प्रसव के बाद यहां पूजा करने आती थीं और शादी के बाद दुल्हनें भी यहीं अनुष्ठान करती थीं।
