00:00Peter's reaching his end. Maybe my enemies will use him against me.
00:03Rewatch the season.
00:04You know what I'm saying?
00:05I mean, that's good as well.
00:06Yeah, I'm not going to sell out. I had a very scarring hike. One of the hardest moments
00:11of my life.
00:12Gabriel, nice to meet you.
00:13Good to meet you.
00:14We've got you right back in the spotlight for just one of the bigger shows on Netflix,
00:19which must be pretty special for you, but are you feeling the pressure with season two?
00:23No pressure that shouldn't be there, naturally. You know, I always try to do the best thing
00:29I can anyway, so the amount of eyes on the show don't really change that. But for me,
00:36the pressure was coming more from the internal side of, you know, there was a crew member
00:43who just had a kid and like wasn't getting any time because we're shooting nights, so
00:49they weren't getting any time with their kid. And it was one of those things where you feel
00:54that pressure of like, that guy's not getting time with his kid because of me, so I better
00:59make this, you know, I better show up on time, better know my lines, and I better, you know,
01:04because what the hell.
01:05Great attitude.
01:06Or what's wrong with me.
01:07I am curious though, is there actually anything that does scare you? Because we've seen you
01:14jump out.
01:15Spiders.
01:16Well, yeah.
01:17I hate spiders.
01:18You're the same as me.
01:19Okay.
01:20Because I've skydived, but I put a spider in front of me, I'll be in tears.
01:22I had a very scarring hike. One of the hardest moments of my life was passing through this
01:28valley of death with these spiders that, they were about this big and they, I was on a trail
01:35that like wasn't hiked a lot, so they had time to sort of grow over this path. And there
01:41were bushes probably up to my waist and I was walking through and I remember, I've never
01:46told this story, actually. So I was walking through this thing and I feel on my trekking
01:52pole, like I hear like a tear and I was like, what the hell was that? It sounded like fabric.
01:57And I looked down and it had passed through this web and I was like, okay, I see the spider
02:01crawling up my trekking pole, so I, you know, sort of turn it around and put it there. Then
02:06I look down and I'm wearing shorts and they're like all over my shorts and on my backpack
02:12and one like went under my, you know how they like ball up when they're, yeah. It was terrifying.
02:17So I hate spiders, you know.
02:20So they haven't put any in the show so far, but now that they know that you're absolutely
02:24terrified of them.
02:24Maybe my enemies will use them against me, yeah.
02:27Exactly. Season three, which it has been renewed, right, already for season three, which we've
02:31heard.
02:32We've shot an episode already. We were shooting in Istanbul.
02:35So at least we know that you don't die in season two.
02:38Maybe it's a flashback.
02:39The whole of season three is just a... But that was the thing. I remember watching an
02:44interview you did for season one and you're like, what would you like to happen in season
02:46two? And you're like, I'd like Peter to die because that would be a good...
02:49Yeah, I think it's Peter's reaching his end. You know, it's against my own personal interest
02:55to want Peter to die, but I think narratively, the narrative has to come first so I don't
03:01waste people's time, you know. And if it's every season, Peter's making bad decisions
03:06and yet somehow he's saving the world every season, it's like, dude, just get rid of this
03:11guy.
03:11Yeah, but everyone loves him too much. Come on.
03:13Then rewatch the season. You know what I'm saying?
03:15I mean, that's good as well.
03:17I'm not going to sell out.
03:20You do a lot of chasing and there's a lot of being chased. I'm curious which one you
03:25are better at personally, do you think?
03:27Oof. Depends on what I'm chasing. You know, like if someone just kicked my dog, I'm catching
03:34that dude, you know?
03:35Now, if he called me name and ran off, I could care less. Being chased, I'm not a runner
03:41so my default setting is turn around and pulverize the thing that's chasing me. Or die.
03:47Okay, great. But you have done a lot of running in here, so how do you feel about that?
03:52Like a coward. No. Man, it's not fun to run that much, but you do what you do. The tough
04:02thing about all the running is you have to make it look like it's the first time you've
04:06done it, you know, and you're actually running for your life. So it's not a, you know, I'll
04:12do jumping jacks in the corner and then be out of breath on screen. It's like I'm running,
04:17you know, quarter mile sprints at a time and they're chasing me on an ATV to get the footage
04:22and then we're flipping around going the other way, going just as fast like I'm running for
04:27my life and everything. So it's just a weird, it's just tough sometimes to do that much
04:33of an effort, maximum effort every time from, I think we filmed one night all the running
04:38sequence in Bangkok we did from 7 p.m. to 3 in the morning. So I was running from like,
04:43yeah, 7 p.m., so what is that? A lot of hours. Six hours or something? I don't do maths and
04:48I don't do running, but you do the running very well. Thank you. As well as everything
04:53else. Nine hours. I think that's nine hours. I don't do maths. Cut it out. Redact it. Good
05:03luck. I don't think you need it. Everyone's excited for this.
