00:00The four senior high school graduates who were supposed to graduate from Baras-Rizal were unfortunately taken to the hospital.

00:08Two of them were dead on arrival at the hospital after drowning.

00:12EJ Gomez has the news for you.

00:17This happened in Ungga Falls, Barangay San Salvador, Baras-Rizal, around 3 p.m. on Monday.

00:24Authorities are trying to find the two men who drowned after going to the deep part of the falls.

00:31Due to the high water level, the rescuers had a hard time finding the victims.

00:37It took a few more hours before the victims were able to get out of the water.

00:42According to the police investigation, four senior high school graduates were allowed to swim in Ungga Falls

00:49after they obtained their medical certificate for their work immersion.

00:54One of them immediately jumped into the water and went to the deep part of the falls.

00:58He tried to save his classmate, but he also drowned.

01:02We saw him calling and asking for help.

01:07He was helped by his classmate.

01:12They both went to the deep part of the falls.

01:15Unfortunately, these four classmates were not able to swim.

01:23They were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

01:25The victims were 17 and 18 years old.

01:28The man who drowned was his friend, John Mike Paschon,

01:34a resident of Antipolo City, Barangay Kupang.

01:36He was only three months old when he graduated,

01:40and was the eldest of two siblings.

01:42It was very painful.

01:44He was already gone.

01:46He didn't even think twice to save his own life.

02:01Even though he was in danger,

02:03he was proud, but sad at the same time.

02:07It would have been better if he could save himself and his classmates.
