00:00The year 2025 is Michael Sager's year

00:03because Sparkada Harthrob is the lead star of the newest GMA Prime series,

00:08My Ilonggo Girl,

00:09where she will be joined by the star of the new gen, Jillian Ward.

00:13How will she face the challenge of becoming a big soap in prime time?

00:18Let's find out all of that in Kapuso Insider.

00:22Up for the challenge is Michael

00:31when he was chosen to be the leading man of the Sparkle actress, Jillian Ward, in My Ilonggo Girl.

00:36This is not the first time the two worked together

00:39because they were already together in the hit GMA Afternoon Prime series,

00:43Abot Kamay na Pangarap,

00:44and Weekend at the Fantasia, Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko.

00:48Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko, Tikitik Talk

00:51was my first-ever appearance on GMA.

00:54It was also my acting debut.

00:58I was a capre there.

01:00Jill and I enjoyed it because I kept changing capres and transforming.

01:04It was fun because the story was very light.

01:08There was dancing and capre.

01:10We enjoyed it.

01:11Eventually, we met again in Abot Kamay na Pangarap.

01:15That's where we got to have more scenes

01:18that were more exciting and fun.

01:21I fell in love with Jill because Abot Kamay is a very fantastic show.

01:25She was a doctor there and I was one of her patients.

01:28I saw her skills, the terms, and the medical stuff that she did.

01:34I fell in love with her and eventually,

01:36the four of us became the lovers of Doc Annalyn.

01:42My experience in Abot Kamay was fun.

01:44Since Michael became part of the youth-oriented group Sparkada in 2022,

01:50the projects that he received followed suit.

01:53That's why the actor's heart is determined to give his best performance

01:57to be trusted by the home network.

02:00Again, I'm just very thankful to the Lord

02:02and to my managers, Cornerstone and Sparkle,

02:04and GMA, of course, that they have entrusted me with these projects,

02:08with these opportunities,

02:09something that I should never take for granted.

02:13I just promise and, of course, willingly give it my all, my best.

02:17The blood, the sweat, the tears, everything.

02:18To give it everything, really.

02:21I know I'm starting in this industry.

02:23I'm a rookie amongst veterans now,

02:26but the fact that I'm doing this to learn,

02:29to eventually improve in my craft,

02:30is a long-term goal for me.

02:32So, yeah, I'm just really happy that they have that trust in me.

02:37I just promise to always deliver my best

02:41not just for me, the managers, my supporters, and my family as well.

02:46Michael Sager is not only focused on his work

02:48because of his promising acting career,

02:49he's also focused on his goal of making a profit from his investments,

02:53such as buying property.

02:55Actually, when I first landed here in the Philippines,

02:57I started from zero.

02:58Because I'm not from here, I'm not a Filipino.

03:01I grew up in Canada.

03:02So, my car, our house, it's all in Canada.

03:05We don't have any house here.

03:06Currently, I live with my aunt.

03:08So, the first thing I already invested in was a car.

03:11So, that's my current car now.

03:13And my own property in a condo.

03:15So, all of the work I do, all the tapings,

03:18I save it all for direct investment.

03:20So, what's left for me is maybe a bit of entertainment

03:23or a bit to eat out.

03:25But as much as I can,

03:26I have a system in my mind that keeps me fueled.

03:31There's times when I feel burnt out.

03:32So, if that's the case, I'll take a vacation,

03:34relax for a bit, just do sports, something like that.

03:39Of course, I want to reward myself as much as possible.

03:41But sometimes, it's hard to be busy with a schedule.

03:44So, as much as I can, work, work, work.
