00:00Almost 30 victims of the last illegal recruiter were arrested in Camp Krame last night.

00:07The suspect was caught in the act of receiving money from a victim of being arrested by the authorities.

00:14And Bam Alegre was arrested.

00:20The complainants joined the office of the Anti-Transnational Crimes Unit in Camp Krame in Quezon City last night.

00:26Yesterday, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, or CIDG, arrested a so-called illegal recruiter.

00:3227 suspects were arrested.

00:35His modus was to collect money from the victims in exchange for a livelihood in Canada as a skilled worker or farmer.

00:41But eventually, they found out that there was no flight and no job waiting for them.

00:45Last night, the suspect was arrested in a by-bus operation while he was receiving money from one of the victims.

00:51Most people can see him online through Facebook.

00:56He has a platform.

00:58Others can see him through referral.

01:00I was shocked because he's not a licensed recruiter.

01:06Suspects are charging P120,000 to P160,000 for each victim.

01:11Like Maria, she doesn't have a real name and she escaped from Naga City.

01:15Their promises were fulfilled, but when they arrived in Manila, they couldn't wait for their flight.

01:20Four of them rented a room in Pasay.

01:24We work in Canada as farmers.

01:29The salary is high.

01:32Free accommodation and free food.

01:37When we arrive in Canada, we will be able to repay the money we spent.

01:43From Sultan Kudarat to Ilana, she doesn't have a real name.

01:46The scammer promised her a big income and a fast opportunity when they went to their neighborhood.

01:51She sacrificed everything to get the money that the illegal recruiter asked for.

01:56I borrowed P60,000 from my neighbor and P10,000 from another neighbor.

02:02I also borrowed a motorcycle from my son and a home lot.

02:09The police is not facing the suspect who received money from the entrapment because of their follow-up operation.

02:15They are also investigating if this is an organized group because some of his accomplices are still at large.

02:20The suspect is currently facing an illegal recruitment case.

02:24We are calling on our countrymen to be careful when applying to other countries.

02:33There are a lot of people who want to be recognized as legit recruiters,

02:39but they are not licensed by the Department of Migrant Worker.
