00:00Was there anything that you wish that you didn't put in the book or anything that you wish you added?

00:04Um, I don't really have regrets about it. I did get cussed out in the street by an ex.

00:11No, really?

00:12Who didn't like the way that I, I don't know, we didn't even talk about it, but I,

00:17he was just like, I knew he, I had sent him the manuscript and he was like,

00:22told me to F off. And I was like, dang, that's crazy. It was,

00:28uh, yeah. So, but I still said what I said and I had to accept that not everybody was gonna

00:35be happy about it.

00:36Sure. Yeah. Wait, so you ran into him in the streets and he was like, Oh no.

00:40Yeah. It was weird to have a man in his forties tell me to F off, but you know what? That's,

00:46we're all on our own journey.

00:47And it's your story.

00:48Yeah. It is my story. Yeah. And look, if I had written it a year from now or five years from now,

00:53it would be, I would tell different stories probably in a different way. But, um,

00:59this is, this is what the story was.

01:00Yeah. You know, you said before that, like, you've learned because you were in toxic

01:04relationships before, and I'm sure you've learned so much. And I did hear earlier that you are in a

01:09relationship with somebody now, do you feel like you now have the tools to kind of move forward

01:13in a positive, healthy relationship?

01:15That's what my song ready to love is about. I was like, you know, I, I want to

01:20make space in my life for somebody who is ready for the, for someone who's ready to love,

01:26ready to be vulnerable and accountable and have fun and grow together. And, you know,

01:31all those things. So I do think that, um, it took, it has taken me a long time to

01:36know myself enough to, to say yes to the things that really feel like a yes and no to the things

01:42and be able to leave things that, that aren't right for me. And, um, and also show up and be

01:47a safe space for somebody, be a safe space for myself. First and foremost, I have, I was not

01:53that for so long. I was like not safe within myself. So I do think that it's just a beautiful

01:59season in my life where, um, I feel more present and ready for the things that are meant for me.
