00:07in June 2016, a referendum was held in the UK which would decide whether or not the UK
00:13would leave the EU. Following the majority voting to leave, as of January 2020, the UK
00:18was officially no longer a member state of the European Union. But how has that impacted
00:23us since? Well, last year, a study reported that Brexit was identified as a key contributor
00:29to the current cost-of-living crisis. The study also reported that there are nearly
00:342 million fewer jobs overall in the UK due to Brexit, with almost 300,000 fewer jobs
00:40in the capital alone. Addressing London's political and business leaders in January
00:442024, Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said the cost-of-Brexit crisis can only be solved if
00:50we take a mature approach and if we are open to improving our trading arrangements with
00:55our European neighbours. But what do you think? Would you support the UK rejoining
01:00the EU in the future? Or is the UK's sovereignty more valuable to you?
