00:00We are here in this gargantuan Highland Hospice warehouse full of wonders and we are here
00:14trying on some outfits for the fashion show.
00:19I applied to do this with my friend Amber because we wanted to support each other after
00:23both going through breast cancer and not only did we want to raise awareness for younger
00:28women and mums being diagnosed and going through treatment for breast cancer, we also
00:32wanted to be part of something to raise awareness and money for such a wonderful cause.
00:36I am super happy to do this event on behalf of myself, a lymphoma sufferer for over ten
00:43years, that's blood cancer, and my dad who also had the same kind of blood cancer so
00:51really nice to be here in memory of my dad who was a board member for the Hospice many
00:56many years ago.
00:57I lost my mobility and it turned out that I had stage 4B ovarian cancer so for me I
01:02want to give something back because the Highland Hospice, all the staff, volunteers have been
01:06truly amazing in my journey.
01:08It's just about empowerment after losing my hair and going through treatment for breast
01:13cancer it just really stripped me of my identity so this is just something fun, something glamorous
01:20whilst raising awareness for something extremely important and vital here in the Highlands.
01:25I like to support it whenever I can, I take every opportunity to support it so why not
01:31support it in this way.
01:32They're just truly amazing.
