00:00Yes, it is related to the shooting case in the early morning of the 24th of January.
00:07The shooting took place in Tanjung Ruh, Banting, where the APMM, which was conducting a patrol,
00:17collided with a boat, which was believed to be a foreign citizen, that is Indonesia.
00:26The boat was believed to be coming out of the Malaysian border.
00:31So, in that incident, the APMM also made a police report stating that they were attacked.
00:44So, in that chase, the APMM released the bullet.
00:49And the boat managed to escape.
00:53So, the next morning, which was in the afternoon, the next day, the APMM found a boat
01:02with two people inside.
01:04One of them died from being shot, and the other was in critical condition,
01:08and was sent by the APMM to Kelang Hospital.
01:13At the same time, three individuals who were believed to be from the boat
01:20were sent by the public at 7.30am to Sultan Idris Hospital, Sedang.
01:27They were also shot in the body, and were in stable condition.
01:33So, three were in Sedang Hospital, and one was in Kelang Hospital,
01:37where four people were alive, whereas one was dead,
01:41and was being investigated by the APMM in Kuala Langat, in Banting Hospital.
01:47So, the APMM made a police report regarding the incident,
01:53as well as the hospital that received the injured patient.
02:02So, the police conducted an investigation under Section 307,
02:06which is attempted murder and torture.
02:10The second section, under Section 186,
02:13was also attempted murder, which is to prevent the public from carrying out their duties.
02:17And the third section, under Section 39,
02:20which is to release the shooter in a public place.
02:26Okay?
02:27Sir, how did the APMM release the shooter?
02:35It was done by the police.
02:37So, did they try to break into the APMM's boat,
02:44or did they use weapons, such as sticks and the like,
02:48the type of weapon used to attack the APMM,
02:51during the investigation?
02:53Okay?
02:54Sir, he came out of our boat.
02:58The purpose of his entry here was to catch fish,
03:03or was he involved in drug trafficking or a crime?
03:08At this time, we haven't found anything in the boat.
03:12So, in the initial investigation, we found this group,
03:18which we think were five people.
03:20Maybe there were more, more people than that,
03:25in the boat.
03:26The capacity of the boat was between 15 to 20 people.
03:30So, we believe that at this time, they were trying to get out,
03:34back to their country.
03:37So, in the process, they were caught by the APMM authorities.
03:43That's when this incident happened.
03:45So, when there was an attack by the authorities,
03:50in an attempt to defend themselves,
03:52they released the shooter,
03:54and it hit their boat.
03:57Okay?
03:58So, the five people we found now,
04:01one has passed away,
04:02four are in hospital care,
04:05and we suspect that the others may be in the boat.
04:08That's what happened.
