Bushido is the code of honor and morals developed by the Japanese Samurai. It was the foundation of one of history's most documented warrior classes. The way of the Samurai has even seeped into modern popular culture; Samurai movies and literature are very popular across the globe. Acclaimed director Akira Kurosawa popularized the Samurai genre in movies, and it in turn has influenced other Hollywood genres like the Western and sci-fi. There is no doubt that the Samurai were a great class of warriors, but they did live in harsher times -- and sometimes harsh times make people do messed-up things.
