00:08President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. greeted the Filipino-Chinese community and the country

00:15for the celebration of Chinese New Year today.

00:17In his message, the President emphasized the importance of the so-called tradition

00:22that symbolizes hope and effort of each one

00:25so that it will serve to achieve our dreams, not only for ourselves, but also for the good of all.

00:32He also encouraged the public to rally for giving and unity towards the new Philippines.

00:40Meanwhile, let's check on the situation in Binondo, Manila.

00:43It's still the same, the celebration of Chinese New Year today.

00:48Kiyong Hiwa Chai, Makulay, Maingay, and Masayan celebration of Chinese New Year here in Binondo, Manila.

00:58There are more people here in Binondo.

01:04Some families, especially the Filipino-Chinese,

01:09came to Binondo to take pictures of the Chinese display this Chinese New Year,

01:14like the Chinese lanterns and dragon displays.

01:17As well as the luggage arms.

01:18Street performances of the Chinese delicacies were held here in Binondo.

01:22Chinese incense was also lit by some people holding chal to pray.

01:28Meanwhile, some streets from Manila Post Office to Lucky China Town will be closed

01:34starting at 2 p.m. for the Chinese New Year parade.

01:37From Manila Post Office, it will pass through Stolta Street, Plaza Santa Cruz,

01:42Dasmariñas Street, Quintin Paredes, Ongpin Street, Alonzo, Soler, Reina Rega District, and Lucky China Town.

01:59the Manila Public Service will continue to clean the streets
