(Adnkronos) - L’assessore al Bilancio della Regione Lazio, Giancarlo Righini, spiega a Bruxelles, dove si trova per una missione istituzionale, che l’ente pubblico ha il più grande debito pubblico tra le Regioni italiane, lo sta riducendo e, pertanto, non può permettersi investimenti se non attingendo ai fondi Ue di coesione, ragion per cui serve una maggiore “flessibilità” nel loro utilizzo.

00:00We are the region with the highest Italian debt, 22.7 billion at the date of the start of the ROCA administration
00:09and today at 21.3 billion, our certificate of economy and finance, as at the end of 2027, will fall below 20 billion euros.
00:18So this is one of the main objectives and it has consequences, obviously.
00:21We cannot pay the new debt, so investments in infrastructure in our region pass through the cohesion funds.
00:29So we are here today to ask the European Commission for more flexibility in the use of cohesion funds.
00:38We live in a complex time, climate change, great social and economic crises,
00:44so we need these funds to be more flexible.
