00:00This is better than a spin class where the instructor is just two giant Swedish legs
00:08Congratulations welcome to watch mojo and today
00:11We'll be looking at the most disappointing episode of each season of the long-running animated sitcom family guy
00:16Spoilers will be mentioned so you are warned. How do you like them apples? Oh bet Damon you got the best of me again
00:25Season one the Sun also draws. Oh my god, Brian. There's a message in my alphabets. It says ooh
00:33Peter those are Cheerios the first season of the show is salad
00:37But still has some flaws in the Sun also draws the writers developed Chris and Peter's relationship
00:43By having the latter come to terms with the former wanting to pursue arts
00:47We get glimpses of his father's outdated world views such as him implying that he only loves his child
00:54Because he's a scout. We know he isn't exactly father of the year, but that still feels harsh
00:59It isn't until he gets a message from his spirit guide the Fonz that he learns to accept his son for who he really is
01:06Well, it isn't bad by any means it certainly pales in comparison to the rest of the debut season
01:12You have anything on that remote lower than mute season two. There's something about Pauly. Are you please God big fat Pauly?
01:24Yeah, I'm big fat Pauly we know that Peter Griffin isn't the best TV husband
01:28But he was pushing the limits even back in the beginning
01:31This episode focuses on him not letting Lois have any input from buying a non-functioning car to carelessly
01:38Allowing a member of the mob into their home
01:40He goes out of his way to disregard her when she finally puts her foot down his complaints about it results in a hit being
01:47Put on her even when they're asking the Don to call it off
01:51He still talks over her and asks for dessert instead
01:55Well, he finally gets it by the end the combination of his choices and Pauly's personality made this the most annoying segment of an otherwise
02:03Strong lineup. Let's just say the car was a steal say that again
02:07The car was a steal this time without winking the car was a steal
02:12Wink season 3 the kiss scene round the world. I'm allergic to peanuts
02:21Oh
02:22Was that guy after taking on an internship at Channel 5 News to be closer to Tom Tucker
02:28Megan Neil Goldman a student who constantly harasses her end up with their lives at stake
02:34Thinking they're about to die. She kisses him, which is then televised all over town
02:39He then can't help but rub it in by making t-shirts to save face
02:43She goes on the news to convince people she hates him, which is mean-spirited at best
02:48So what was Neal's reaction to this?
02:52Threatening self-harm the extreme response was then cheapened after she saves him and he reveals he essentially did it for her attention
03:00It's uncomfortable to say the least and neither character comes out looking great
03:06You do care don't read too much into this Neal season 4
03:11jungle love
03:12Season 4 is considered to be one of the best but that doesn't mean that every installment is without fault. Oh, okay
03:20I'll go look for a job Lois. Oh, what is this the latest Red Book?
03:29Jungle love was the most disappointing focusing on Chris running away to a South American tribe after being the target of hazing
03:36There he quickly becomes revered and even marries the chief's daughter
03:41The main issue comes from the jokes quickly becoming stale and primarily relying on references
03:47Well, the series is known for its referential humor the prominence of it in this episode was draining
03:55Additionally a few of the bits feel overly drawn out killing them in the process
04:00The best thing we can say about this is that it introduced Carrie Fisher's character Angela. Mr. Griffin. We have different rules here for starters
04:07No drinking period we start work at 7 a.m. Sharp season 5 Bill and Peter's bogus journey
04:15boy that
04:17That wasn't really a crank call. That was that was just unpleasant
04:21Originally Lois was portrayed as a loving wife
04:24But this episode reveals some of the cracks in her character after Peter befriends Bill Clinton
04:30She disapproves of their relationship when she decides to talk to the former president
04:34She ends up sleeping with him instead. It was completely out of character as was her defense of her actions
04:41Instead of going to therapy or divorcing she tells her husband that he can choose anyone to be with and he picks her mother
04:49Luckily, he ends up not being able to go through with it
04:51Although he does accidentally sleep with Clinton then Peter and Lois rekindle their relationship like nothing happened
04:58It was a jarring moment and was the first instance of their dynamic shifting
05:03Our marriage has suffered a serious trial, but I think we can get through it me too Lois
05:09It's just gonna take a little work in the meantime
05:11I guess I better clear the air with Clinton season 6 play it again Brian
05:16While Brian's crush on Lois was well known by this point. Here's when it started to become an actual issue
05:22Come on, Peter. We're gonna be late for lunch with mom and dad. Oh
05:26Oh
05:28Right after winning an essay contest he invites Peter and Lois to the ceremony
05:33Brian and Lois hang out after the event and he uses their marital issues as a way to get closer to her which leads to
05:40Him throwing himself at her
05:42Naturally Peter was upset and the two of them ruthlessly battled it out while an incident like this
05:48Would completely end a friendship in real life and typical family guy fashion. He was immediately forgiven
05:54It was a case of the show setting up emotional stakes and refusing to resolve them, which is an issue that persists today
06:01Hey, yeah
06:03Lois told me there was some funny business. Yeah, what of it?
06:06Well, it's just I can't help but feel a little betrayed Brian season 7. The juice is loose
06:13OJ Simpson. Yes. Was this in the news? Yes, Peter
06:17It's one thing to make jokes about the infamous OJ Simpson trial
06:20But centering an entire story around the controversial figure was an odd choice
06:25Peter invites the ex-athlete to his home to the horror of his family
06:29We know he isn't the most observant but him not knowing about the case felt
06:34Unrealistic even for him when an angry mob comes to run the former athlete out of town
06:39Peter dissuades them from doing so by giving a speech about forgiveness
06:43If he had been accused of pretty much anything besides murder
06:47Then this would have been a great moment about not putting celebrities on a pedestal
06:51Instead it ended up being a hollow setup for a bad punchline. I forget to take the trash out some days
06:57I've left the toothpaste cap on the bathroom counter
07:00I've taped football games without the express written consent of the National Football League season 8 Peter Assman's
07:07Hello. Oh, hi Angela. Hang on Pete. I see boss. I don't want to talk to her. She's gonna harass me
07:15Don't be such a baby
07:16There's a reason heavier topics aren't often tackled in this program after Peter goes into work without his glasses
07:23Angela becomes smitten with him
07:25She begins to harass him even going as far as to physically grab him when he tries asking for help
07:31He's derided by his own wife and essentially told that men can't be harassed
07:37While this did help shine a light on some double standards. It was still hard to watch
07:42There isn't even a happy ending Peter feels compelled to sleep with her so that she doesn't end her own life
07:48Even if he used Morton stead the implications were unsettling
07:53She absolutely should have faced some sort of consequences and yet nothing came of it
07:58Just sleep with me just this once and it'll give me everything I need sleep with me tonight
08:03Save my life
08:05season 9 excellence in broadcasting
08:08My god rush Limbaugh was right all along
08:12Conservative republicanism is the answer while Brian's character started to transform earlier
08:18Season 9 is when his true self came out
08:21He had been shown as a critical thinker with his own set of beliefs
08:24But excellence in broadcasting did everything it could to reverse that when controversial radio host rush Limbaugh came to Quahog
08:32The canine abandoned his own principles to instead follow in his footsteps
08:37It was embarrassing to see him try and convince others and himself that he wasn't anything more than a contrarian
08:43Even resorts to attempted torture as a product of his new mindset while we understand
08:48Wanting to add some nuance to the character this did the opposite of that and instead retconned his intelligence
08:55Which unfortunately ended up being a permanent change?
08:58Look Brian, all I'm saying is it's not normal for people to change their political views
09:03So radically overnight season 10 screams of silence the story of Brenda Q
09:09I want the girl I grew up with back. I want I
09:14Want my sister back while bottle episodes can be a great way of adding depth to some sitcoms that unfortunately
09:21Isn't the case here?
09:23screams of silence the story of Brenda Q is focused around quagmire trying to rescue his sister from an abusive relationship
09:30There are several drawn-out fights the viewer has to sit through and some of the characters even called the victim names
09:37Joe's career isn't helping her situation
09:39And so the guys decide that the only way to end things is to kill her partner all in all it's emotionally draining with hardly
09:46Any comedic moments with this and seahorse seashell party?
09:51They proved that they were extremely out of their depth when it came to emotional topics
09:56Chris you treat me like you hate me, and I don't know why you say hurtful things to me constantly
10:01Do you have any idea what that feels like season 11 turban cowboy?
10:06Moments like this make it hard to root for the program after a skydiving incident
10:11Peter meets a Muslim man in the hospital and befriends him
10:14Quagmire and Joe immediately make their prejudices known and in another series they would be proven wrong
10:20But this is family guy so instead of having a nice lesson about not judging those different from us
10:27They validate those dangerous tropes while the series had made countless cracks against various religions
10:33It had never portrayed their followers as truly villainous until now
10:38They tried playing both sides by alluding to unfair aspects of the justice system
10:43But it came across as a cheap attempt to not be seen as islamophobic. That was some pretty rough stuff
10:50You didn't cry. Did you well? I mean I went through an awful lot Peter if you cried
10:56We had done season 12 herpe the love sore when we swapped blood look at my lip
11:01It's a disgusting herpes sore and now I have some very uncomfortable phone calls to make
11:06Sometimes it's possible to push the limits of a character too far
11:10Between Peter trying to marry his son in fresh air and Brian giving members of the family of venereal disease in this episode
11:17Viewer loyalty to the show was tested in herpe the love sore
11:21Stewie innocently wants to become blood brothers with Brian and is then infected with herpes when Brian fails to disclose his status
11:29Not only is that disgusting?
11:31It's also illegal when it's revealed that Chris also has it the two brothers set out to get revenge
11:38Only to drop it when the dog confesses. He kept it a secret out of humiliation
11:43Between the story and the visuals it's gross and destroys Brian's character even further
11:48What the hell do you guys want from me? I want to drive your Prius to the end of the block all by myself
11:54That's it. Yes
11:55Okay
11:57Yay
11:58Season 13 Stewie is on Saint. Oh my god, that thing's positive is Lois pregnant again. No
12:06Meg is pregnant. You're getting warmer
12:09This
12:11Is the moment where the program jumped shark after feeling as though Brian is ignoring him Stewie decides at the most
12:18Rational option is to impregnate himself with his friends children with him being a literal baby himself
12:24The implications are already uncomfortable at best
12:27We can't even blame Brian for his initial reaction when they do have the children
12:32They immediately prove why a dog and toddler make horrible parents
12:35Their kids are literally falling apart in front of them and so they decide to completely abandon them and move on with their lives
12:42It was an incredibly unpleasant storyline and we wouldn't be surprised if it was the last straw for many. This is for the best
12:49Yeah, I mean, I'm sure they'll be adopted. Oh god. Yeah
12:53I'm still keeping all the gifts from the baby shower season 14 Peter's sister. Hey Karen. Welcome to our get in PP
13:02For the most part Peter isn't shown with siblings
13:06However in season 14 his sister Karen was introduced
13:10They don't have a great bond and a lot of her mistreatment towards Peter is reminiscent about Peter treats his daughter
13:17While it's interesting to see him get a taste of his own medicine
13:20Karen takes it too far
13:22It sucks the fun out of the moment and also gives a glimpse into the generational abuse that he was a victim of and which
13:29Continues the end also felt undeserved Meg puts her aunt in a coma and it's implied that she doesn't survive
13:37Although she wasn't a great sister. There was no reason she had to die. Do they think she's gonna survive it could go either way
13:45Hello
13:47No, I think I'm a different blood type season 15 hot shots
13:51We were gonna get still we vaccinated but now after our research, we're definitely not Oh No Lois
13:57Don't tell me you fell for all that anti-vaxxer crap
14:00Some topics don't need to be tackled by this series and the vaccine debate is definitely one of them after learning about the supposed side
14:07Effects Lois immediately goes on an anti-vax crusade even arguing that they cause autism
14:13It made people realize just how much she had morphed from the person we had seen in the first few seasons
14:19She and Peter managed to turn the whole city against the medicine and it isn't until a measles outbreak occurs. They realize they're wrong
14:27While Sean Penn is able to save the town in time
14:30Lois still refuses to apologize for what she's done and instead chastises him for lecturing her
14:35It was an irritating episode with some of Lois's worst moments like clean water and functional schools
14:42Vaccinations are a human right?
14:45Right. Just what I needed a lecture from liberal Hollywood season 16 send in Stewie, please send in Stewie, please
14:52Oh, I can go in now. Oh fantastic. He's ready marvelous
14:57Well, the concept of Stewie in therapy is certainly interesting the writers weren't able to stick the landing
15:03Anything that was revealed about him such as his British accent being fake or his personality being a farce was dropped by the end
15:11Leading people to wonder what the point was
15:14Additionally a lot of the jokes felt drawn out
15:16Particularly his assessment of his doctor's life
15:19The fact that there were no cutaways meant that the whole plot was essentially one long
15:23Conversation and unlike in Brian and Stewie it had no impact on his character by the end
15:29The cherry on top was when he let the counselor die showing that his evil side it ever truly left
15:35I don't understand. Why aren't you getting my medication?
15:41Yeah, listen, you're not gonna like this season 17 you can't handle the booth
15:54And
15:56Sometimes we can't help but wonder if Peter and Lois even like each other and you can't handle the booth
16:01The Griffins are recording DVD commentary
16:04But get derailed by constant arguments at one point Lois even claims that Chris isn't Peter's son
16:10If the couple had never fought before this then maybe viewers would have been more invested
16:15But they were used to their toxicity at this point in a bizarre twist
16:19Seth MacFarlane makes an appearance as himself to tell them that they are all fictional characters. So nothing they do truly matters
16:26I'm actually here to tell you there's no need to talk sense into Lois or for a paternity test or for anyone to leave the
16:33Show because none of you are real
16:35Of course, the couple immediately reconciles and goes through the song and dance of them saying they love each other
16:40It was a cop-out ending to an already flat story
16:46My character is talking
16:49Honestly, Peter, I don't know how I know that right there was the main reason we split up season 18 Brida
16:55Why did you bring up a reference to something?
16:57You know nothing about that
16:59It just it reminded me of Brian don't bring up a reference to someone whose favorite movie it is because you'll just embarrass yourself
17:06Quagmire may hate Brian, but sometimes he takes his resentment too far after Brian reunites with Quagmire's
17:12Transgender parent Ida they decide to rekindle their relationship
17:16The two are genuinely happy and the audience gets to see Brian progress as a character
17:22Unfortunately, Brian tries to press Quagmire into a sort of father-son relationship
17:27Despite the son in question being in adults after Brian embarrasses him at a backyard football game
17:33Quagmire gives Ida an ultimatum her child or her boyfriend
17:37It was manipulative and he didn't even look apologetic as the couple said they're reluctant. Goodbyes
17:43It was a rare moment where the fans felt sympathetic toward the dog which goes to show how awful the demands were
17:49He's my son
17:51I've made my decision. Bye. Bye Brian your history and this time history's not coming back to life
17:58night at the museum
17:59season 19
18:01Cutaway land. I don't understand how we got here
18:04All I know is that we both set up this cutaway at the same time and now we're inside this cutaway in Australia
18:10Talk about wasted potential Peter and Lois get trapped in a place consisting of their cutaways scenes that interrupt the main scene
18:17They decide to take this opportunity to spend some time away from their children
18:22Beyond that the plot didn't really go anywhere until the whole family was stuck with them
18:26Most of the runtime was filled with references to previous jokes
18:30Which lost its charm early on while the eventual solution was fun as a callback
18:35It felt rushed dead insult to injury the whole experience actually ended up being in Peter's head the whole time
18:41Well, we know cutaway land could never truly exist. It still felt like they took the easy way out
18:47Maybe you shouldn't have eaten those raw oysters. I'm fine. I'm fine. Let's just go home season 20
18:54HBO no the anthology episodes of the sitcom are usually hit or miss
18:59Let's start with Game of Thrones which aired eight seasons and was beloved by America for six and a half seasons
19:05Well, some stayed true enough to the source material. Others just feel like a wild guess
19:10HBO no was unfortunately the latter the gang recreates different HBO originals mocking the various tropes
19:17Peppered throughout the parodies or self-deprecating jokes about their lack of awards
19:22Which were way too similar to a previous segmented installment
19:26Fans felt as though the show had phoned in the jokes, particularly when it came to Game of Thrones
19:31It was a classic case of an interesting concept but weak execution
19:36It also didn't help that there had already been another slightly underwhelming anthology rock-hard
19:42Including two in one season came across as excessive and slightly lazy
19:46Yep, it was fun playing dress-up, but I think we can all agree that for Sunday night entertainment
19:51Fox is the place to be

20:08Season 21 the candidates that's disturbing even to me and I've been to an eyes wide shut party
20:15It's sad to see how Peter and Lois's relationship is transformed in the candidate Stewie runs against Doug his enemy for the role
20:22Of snack captain. It's a pretty standard election with the two utilizing smear tactics
20:28Then it takes a dark turn when Chris tells his opponent that he was an accident
20:33Naturally this rattles the baby and his sibling didn't help by giving him a tape of the night of his conception
20:39He learns the unfortunate truth that he and all his siblings were conceived
20:44Non-consensually Peter is even heard being fearful and telling her to get it over with in the end
20:50It didn't matter Stewie won after Doug suddenly died. It was a rash ending. And of course never mentioned again Brian
20:57Say hello to the new snack captain, which season do you think had the worst episode?
21:03Let us know in the comments below. What was that?
21:06Hilarious mom wine joke you think so?
