Some social media influencers have been criticised for bragging about claiming disability benefits for conditions like ADHD. We ask locals if they think the system is being abused and what needs to change to ensure fairness.

00:00Well, I personally don't know it's being abused but you do hear that people are getting benefits for things that really we all put up with years ago if you just fell down for a few days or something like that.
00:14I mean, which turns all these emotions into illnesses.
00:21I don't really know too much about that but I know that ADHD is a real thing and a lot more people have it than they realise.
00:27And some people that do suffer with ADHD it might not actually be understood. If you don't have it you might not understand how hard it can actually be.
00:34It's very hard to just complete a simple task for people that have got ADHD.
00:37Some people are living on benefits of claiming them because they can.
00:41So it's an easier way of living for them which is bad because the rest of us have to go to work.
00:47We all have to make our money and it's not fair if you don't deserve the stuff.
00:52Obviously if you've got the reasonable requirements to get the stuff, you're eligible to get that money then you can.
