00:06Scott, late last week, it was a wild 48-hour span.
00:10Liam Cohen pulling himself out of the running for Jacksonville's head coaching job,
00:14the Jags fire.
00:15Trent Balky, Liam Cohen was going to resign with Tampa to become the offensive coordinator.
00:20He goes to them, takes a secret interview in Jacksonville,
00:24ultimately becoming the next head coach of the Jaguars.
00:27Yesterday was introduced.
00:29I'm sure everybody has seen the clip around social media
00:32of him talking about the county in Florida that Jacksonville is located,
00:36Duval, in the weird way that he said it.
00:40But outside of that one clip that, of course,
00:43there's always going to be one in the introductory press conference cycle,
00:47I thought he actually had a lot of substance to say in fixating Scott,
00:51making the focus of this franchise moving forward,
00:53the quarterback in Trevor Lawrence,
00:55a guy that Liam Cohen claims to know very well since his high school days in Georgia.
01:01Yeah, what a weird situation, right?
01:04I actually thought going in with Trevor Lawrence,
01:06that this was one of the better situations,
01:08you know, nice, easy division,
01:10you know, great facility and an owner that wants to win,
01:14albeit going over to Europe a couple times,
01:15but you'll deal with that, right?
01:16So I thought on paper, this was it, you know,
01:18they fired Doug Peterson, but they keep the GM,
01:20which we all thought was weird at the time.
01:22And now we get a bunch of head coaches that apparently,
01:25or at least head coaches in wanting that said,
01:28no, they don't want to go there because of Trent Baalke.
01:30I still say, Ben, there wasn't one guy out there that went to ShotKon,
01:34the owner of the Jaguars and said, I'll work with him.
01:37Yeah, he's the greatest guy in the world.
01:39Absolutely love Trent Baalke.
01:41I wouldn't be interested in this job if it wasn't for Trent Baalke.
01:44Say whatever you have to say to get a head coaching job.
01:47I mean, there's only 32 of these things, right?
01:50No matter how bad of a situation you may think it might be,
01:52but sell your point on getting the head coaching job
01:56and then deal with Baalke later on down the line.
01:58But I guess not.
02:00And I guess they wanted Cohen so badly that they were then
02:03going to turn back the clock and fire the GM
02:06like they should have done two weeks ago when they fired Peterson.
02:09But what a weird, you know, weird, weird situation that really is.
02:13It certainly is an interesting situation, Scott.
02:16I think it speaks to Jacksonville,
02:18which should be an attractive destination for a new head coach,
02:21but didn't really seem to be early in this coaching cycle.
02:25If you are Liam Cohen and you do believe in Trevor Lawrence
02:29as the future of your franchise,
02:31you really have kind of handcrafted your scenario though in Jacksonville.
02:36You got the old GM fired.
02:38The owner is going to listen to you
02:40and you have a quarterback to utilize moving forward.
02:43Is that going to be enough with the Jaguars?
