कोयम्बत्तूर. कोयम्बत्तूर में अमरीकी शिक्षा कंपनी फोकस एडुमैटिक्स ने अपने 3000 कर्मचारियों को बिना किसी पूर्व सूचना के एक साथ निकाल दिया है, जिसके बाद कर्मचारियों ने जनवरी तक पूरा वेतन और ग्रेच्युटी की मांग को लेकर प्रदर्शन किया। कर्मचारियों के प्रदर्शन के बाद कंपनी जनवरी तक पूरा वेतन और ग्रेच्युटी देने को तैयार हो गई है। फोकस एडुमैटिक प्राइवेट नामक एक प्रौद्योगिकी कंपनी 2017 से कोयम्बत्तूर में आरएस पुरम-थाडकम रोड पर काम कर रही है। इस कंपनी में तमिलनाडु के फील्ड कर्मचारियों से लेकर वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों तक 3,000 से अधिक युवा काम कर रहे थे। ये कर्मचारी अमेरिका में स्कूली छात्रों को ऑनलाइन पढ़ा रहे थे। सोमवार को कर्मचारियों को ई-मेल भेजा गया जिसमें बताया गया था कि कंपनी ने परिचालन बंद कर दिया है और सभी को नौकरी से निकाल दिया गया है।
प्रबंधन ने कर्मचारियों से नहीं की मुलाकात
पीडि़त कर्मचारियों ने जिला कलक्टर क्रांति कुमार से मुलाकात कर अपनी शिकायत की है और लंबित वेतन दिलाने में सरकार से सहायता का अनुरोध किया है। कर्मचारियों ने न्याय और अपने लंबित भुगतान के समाधान की मांग को लेकर श्रम कार्यालय के बाहर विरोध प्रदर्शन भी किया है। कंपनी ने घोषणा की कि वह 31 जनवरी तक बकाया वेतन और ग्रेच्युटी का भुगतान कर देगी।
नहीं मिला औपचारिक नोटिस
फोकस एडुमैटिक्स में 2 साल से अधिक समय से काम कर रहे अनुराग बालकृष्णन ने कहा कि उन्हें केवल एक ईमेल मिला था और कोई औपचारिक नोटिस नहीं मिला था। पांच साल से अधिक सेवा दे चुके कर्मचारी अपने भविष्य को लेकर अनिश्चित हैं।
कार्रवाई का आश्वासन
कोयम्बत्तूर जिला कलक्टर क्रांतिकुमार पाडी ने कहा कि इस मुद्दे पर आवश्यक कार्रवाई की जाएगी। कोयम्बत्तूर के पूर्व सांसद पी.आर. नटराजन का कहना है कि कंपनी चाहे किसी भी देश की हो, उसे हमारे देश के कानूनों के अनुसार ही काम करना होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि बिना किसी पूर्व सूचना के अचानक ई-मेल भेजकर 3,000 कर्मचारियों को नौकरी से बर्खास्त करना अत्यंत निंदनीय है।
