00:00Once anew, the country has drawn international budgets for its mass vaccination efforts to
00:05keep both young and old alive and well.
00:08The DOH immunization program received the WHO and UNICEF's citation as they joined
00:14the DOH on its second national immunization summit.
00:17Today's big health event was just reinforcement of DOH's continued vaccination program against
00:23highly infectious yet preventable ailments, especially those that beset kids.
00:28Case in point, a DOH timely stab in curbing and eventually eliminating measles outbreak
00:33in the barm despite initial pushback from parents and elders who have been sold to fake
00:38news spreading online.
00:40As a result, vaccine hesitancy has been at its lowest point in the country and more lives
00:45are being saved with preventive effects immunization brings.
00:50Here's the best part, from one million zero-dose children in 2021, top five in the world for
00:59the Philippines in terms of number of zero-dose children, we have managed to bring this number
01:04down together to 163,000 two years later, not even in the top 20.
