00:00And I was just going through the litany of what's happened to these states where they've
00:06legalized sports betting ever since the Supreme Court passed the law that everyone could,
00:12you know, frankly, at their own behest, bet on sports.
00:16Three quarters of the states are all gambling now.
00:19And there's been a lot of nefarious stuff going on, a lot of crime, a lot of and even
00:25players being involved in gambling rings and things of this nature.
00:32What do you think of all of it?
00:34I think that the legality of it is the reason that you find out about this stuff more so
00:41than not finding out about it.
00:45That's you know, in the old days before this era right now, and it was just an underground
00:50market when you were doing this stuff.
00:52If you were a player, like Pete Rose wasn't betting in Las Vegas, Pete Rose was betting
00:58with bookies.
00:59Right.
01:00Right.
01:01I mean, so that's completely underground.
01:02And if the bookies know, let's just say hypothetically a bookie group knows, OK, so an athlete is
01:11betting with us and they're throwing games and or they have inside information.
01:17They certainly wouldn't go to the police, would they, Scott?
01:22They would either like be very upset about it and or turn around and flip the money and
01:26say, you know what?
01:27We've got a great inside source here.
01:29So the legalization of it has actually it brings things to the light, actually.
01:35Like it's that's what's amazing to me, actually, Scott.
01:38I think you have a better chance of trying to smuggle like 20 kilograms of heroin across
01:43the border than you do placing a sports bet.
01:44If you're an athlete, they're going to find out like just point blank.
01:49Right.
01:51I mean, the athletes don't know gangsters and bookies and stuff like that.
01:56They're not really they might know someone that knows someone.
01:59So for the most part, they're going to end up betting at these legalized places.
02:03Now what blows my mind, Scott, is all right.
02:06The Porter dude on the Raptors kind of an idiot, OK?
02:10But we're talking about someone who played like three, four minutes a game is one of
02:14the you know, the twelve, thirteen guys at the end of the bench.
02:18And his mind is just spinning, thinking, well, you know what, I'll make a couple extra
02:22bucks here before I'm out of the league.
02:24Terry Rozier Scott made big money, bro.
02:26Yeah.
02:27I mean, in fact, he was one of the most overpaid players in the league.
02:29I mean, Jordan gave him such a massive deal.
02:33So like I you know, I think it's stupid if you're Porter and you're in the NBA and you
02:36blow your career.
02:38But to me, it's just incomprehensible if you're involved in anything and, you know, you've
02:43made as much money as you've had in your career as Terry Rozier has, because you're bringing
02:48a hell of a lot of problems on yourself for next to nothing, man.
02:50I just don't get it.
