00:00This project started in 2016.
00:05This was initiated by the Indian Railway.
00:07Not only for the South Western Railway,
00:09we are implementing this all over India.
00:12So this is called the Train Collision Avoidance System.
00:15Basically, to prevent trains from colliding with each other,
00:21and to prevent the collision from happening again,
00:24we developed this DCS.
00:27Initially, we studied how the European systems would work.
00:33But finally, we developed this in-house technology.
00:37Now, we are in the 4.0 version.
00:43In 2024, our Honorable Minister of Railways, Ashwin Vaishnava,
00:50demonstrated this to you.
00:53Last time, everything was covered in this year.
00:55You saw him standing on the same track in front of the locomotive.
01:02That is the success of that.
01:04Initially, in the first phase,
01:06we had already tendered 1585 kilometres for the South Western Railway.
01:13So, at the cost of 600 crores, we had tendered it.
01:17In the second phase, the remaining 2100 kilometres,
01:22we had tendered it for Rs. 2200 crores.
01:25So, in the first phase,
01:27when we distributed this to all the three divisions,
01:31in the Bangalore Hubli Division, it would be around 564 kilometres.
01:35In the Bangalore Division, it would be 689 kilometres.
01:38And in the Mysore Division, it would be 332 kilometres.
01:41When you look at the sections,
01:43in the first phase,
01:46the major trunk routes,
01:48the major passenger movement routes,
01:51we are implementing this.
01:55Ballari Hubli, Hubli Londa,
01:57Londa Mirage and Haveri Hubli.
01:59In the Hubli Division, we are implementing this in the first phase.
02:04Apart from this, in Bangalore,
02:06Bangalore-Elanka, Bangalore-Whitefield,
02:08Whitefield-Jolarpet,
02:10Bangalore-Elliore,
02:13Bangalore-Lottegalla,
02:16Bangalore-Eshwagpur,
02:18Bangalore-Penukonda,
02:20Bangalore-Hosur,
02:22Bangalore-Dharampuri.
02:24So, in these sections, we are implementing this.
02:26Similarly, in the Mysore Division,
02:29we are implementing this in Arsikere,
02:31Mysore-Elliore,
02:33Arsikere,
02:35and Haveri.
02:37In the mentioned sections,
02:39in the first phase, we are implementing this.
02:41We are doing the selected stations for that.
02:43This will be implemented in the stations.
02:48Also, in the locos,
02:50we are installing the Kvatch RFID.
02:53What are the components in this?
02:56Kvatch is a radio frequency ID.
03:00We have inserted that instrument in the station,
03:03we have placed it in the track,
03:05and we have placed it in the locos.
03:07In the first phase, when it was developed in 2016-20, initially the accuracy was not that good.
03:19But after developing it in 2024, the accuracy rate has improved a lot.
03:23So we are trying to ensure 100% avoidance.
03:28Sir, how much is the project cost and when will it be ready?
03:32We will be able to implement it by the end of 2026.
03:43So there is a complete solution to all the problems?
03:48Yes.
